Laura resided in Spring for the past 22 years, previously residing in Florida and New York.
She was born on April 28, 1921, in Washington, DC, and was the daughter of the late Alessandro and Elisa (nee Colangeli) Tacconelli.
Laura graduated from McKinley High School in 1940. She married the love of her life, Robert M. Blake, on August 18, 1950.
Laura served in the U. S. Marine Corps during WW II. She worked for Liberty Mutual, NASSAU, CO Police Dept. and also attended St. James Catholic church.
She is survived by her son Richard Blake, daughter in law Vickie Blake, and her grandchildren Jennifer Blake and Laura Blake, her sisters LEONILDA of Ashland, Oh., MARIA and IDA of Silver Spring, Md.
In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Blake, who passed away on June 17, 1991, and two brothers, Quinto and Federico, both of Maryland.
