Lamont W. Rodgers was born in Middletown, Ohio, on September 4, 1953. He graduated from Chaminade High School in Dayton, Ohio. He attended North Eastern A&M Junior College in Miami, Oklahoma, where he received his Associate of Arts Degree. He then went on to attend the University of Tulsa, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology.
After receiving his degree, he began his career with Law Enforcement where he served on the Tulsa Police Department from 1975-1979. Following which, he began the highlight of his professional career with The United States Secret Service which he proudly served 26 years from 1979-2005.
After retiring from Law Enforcement, he became the Senior Director of Global Security at Pepsico Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, from 2005-2016. LaMont was a member of NOBLE, APEX, ASIS, TOASTMASTERS, Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force, and AFAUSSS.
He had a passion for traveling, sports, physical fitness, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Marguerite Rodgers; and his wife, Sharon Lynell Rodgers; his brother, LaRen Wesley Rodgers; son, Quinton Martez Rodgers (Barbara Rodgers); and daughter, Kimberly Nicole Rodgers-Porter (Kentez Porter); five grandchildren, Dorian Friend, Isabella Rodgers, Davion Porter, Skye Porter, and Brooklyn Rodgers.
Services will be held on June 24, 2017 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the funeral service will immediately follow.
