Judy was born December 13, 1950 in Eunice, Louisiana, and was a loving and caring mother, wife, grandmother and sister. She was, and always will be, the rock that held her family together. She loved working in her gardens and spending time with her beloved dog Tybear. She always tried to think positively and find good in all people around her. She was the best mother a child could ever ask for, whether her children were thirty minutes away or eighteen hours, she was always there. She will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her ex-husband Stuart Lane Smith; her children, Tammy Couvillon, Guy Fontenot, Dusty Samuel, Marilyn Courtney Smith and Stuart Dale Smith; her brothers, Michael and Roy Deville; her sister, Shirley Deville; her sisters-in-law, Janet and Peggy Deville; her daughter-in-law Della Fontenot; her son-in-law William Samuel; her grandchildren, Andrea Couvillon, Aimee Couvillon, Trina Fontenot, Rusty Fontenot, Chelsea Fontenot, Mindy Fontenot, Hailey Samuel, William D. Samuel and Abigail Samuel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clerdie and Gassey Deville.
Judy was a devoted Christian and a member of the Fellowship of The Woodlands Church. She attended church often and always put her faith in God. She will always be remembered as the loving mother, wife, grandmother and sister that she was.
A private family memorial service will be held in her honor.
