Our beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, Joseph “Joe” Louis Macaluso, 71, of Houston, Texas, passed away March 3, 2015 after a two year battle with cancer. He was born in Houston, Texas on December 23, 1943. Joe graduated from St. Pius High School in Houston, Texas, and received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
Joe worked in Sales for Grainger for 30 years and served as a Harris County Sheriff Reserve Officer for 12 years. He proudly served in the United States Air Force Reserves for six years. He was a member of the St. Edward Catholic Community for over 40 years. He served on the Water Board for his subdivision for 12 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife Connie of 48 years; his two daughters Tina Macaluso and Tammy Spence; his son-in-law Neal Spence; cherished grandson Tyler Spence; brother Eddie Macaluso; sister and brother-in-law Lena & Larry Kozielski and numerous treasured nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael & Mary Macaluso and his brother Mike Macaluso.
Joe’s passions were his family and his friends, and especially his grandson Tyler, who affectionately referred to his Grandfather as “Porta”. He loved visiting our family farm in East Texas where we shared so many special memories.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to The 100 Club of Houston in Joe’s memory. The 100 Club is an organization dedicated to financially rescuing the dependents of firefighters and law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty, www.the100club.org.
