Born June 23, 1957, to Gene & Sondra Conley, Janice was adopted as an infant by T.C. & Vera Christian. She grew up in Goldsmith and Odessa, Texas, and graduated from Odessa High in 1975. She went on to obtain her RN license from Mary Meek School of Nursing. On March 6, 1982, Janice married Luke Reynolds. In their 43 years of marriage, they had 2 daughters, Amory and Alyssa. Her and Luke’s marriage was an example of love to everyone they knew. Janice worked as an RN in several capacities, but she brought joy to so many students while working as the school nurse at Chisolm Trail Elementary School in Sanger, Texas, for 19 years. After retiring, she and Luke moved to Conroe, Texas. Late in Janice’s life, she searched for her birth family. When she found them, her mom and 5 siblings welcomed her into the family with open arms. Known for her love, joy, service, generosity, humor, artistic abilities and, most importantly, her love of God, Janice will be missed by those who survive her.
Janice is preceded in death by her birth parents, Gene & Sondra Conley, and her adoptive parents, T.C. & Vera Christian. She is survived by her husband Luke; siblings Terry (Kathy) Christian, Steve (Mary) Conley, Kelly (Greg) Seiter, Carrol (Mike) Chapman, Ann (Paul) Leventis, and Jamie (Fred) Riscen; daughters Amory (Micah) Hitt and Alyssa (Nathan) Harmon; grandchildren Leona, Ezra, Chanson, Maevie, and Anthem; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, donations towards scholarships for families affected by disabilities to attend the Joni & Friends Family Retreat are appreciated. If giving online, go to Joniandfriends.org/texas, choose “dedicate in memory of someone,” write in “Janice Reynolds,” and select “Scholarships-Texas” from the drop down menu.
A memorial service for Janice will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
