James Joseph McGowan Jr.

James, born in Long Island New York and son of Marie and James Sr., was a son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. In his professional life, he was a successful attorney of law for many years with Exxon. In his retired life, he was a successful husband and pet parent to Oliver.

James worked hard to establish a comfortable life for himself and his family. He was a so-called self-made man: He graduated from William and Mary and went on to get his law degree at the University of Tennessee. Always a football player at heart, he rooted for his teams until the end.

But it wasn’t just his pedigree that got him where he wanted to be; it was his charm, good looks and way with words that made everyone swoon over him. And that is exactly how his friends, children and wife will always remember him.
