He passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on November 7, 2023 after a valiant two year battle with brain cancer.
Hudson was a jokester who loved to play tricks on his cousins and make them laugh. He had a heart of gold and was so kind; he would even thank his nurses after a long day of treatments. During his short life, he was a member of the Dynamos soccer team quickly learning to play "herd ball" with his friends. Hudson was Texas Tech University's softball team's special representative to help stomp out cancer. He threw out the first pitch for the first stomp out cancer game. He played soccer and baseball, but his real passion was golf. Whether he played at Top Golf or Augusta Pines, Hudson loved to drive the ball.
Huddy was an avid Astros fan. He saw the Stros play in person and on TV. His personal videos from Alex Bregman made him so happy, yet his special moment was his hug from Orbit the mascot.
Hudson is survived by his parents, grandparents Ron (Pop Pop) and Bonnie (B) Baker, Barbara (Nana) and Gerry Drayer, and Ben (Pappi) and Tina (Gigi) Fuentez, and his great grandmothers Carolyn Ironside and Isabel Fuentez. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Jeff Baker (Alexandra and William), Jeremy and Paula Baker (Berklie, Barrett, Bowen, and Brody), Jill Baker, Benjamin and Sandra Fuentez (Isabelle and Grace), Brett and Bridget Orr (Kason and Kolby), Bryan and Brooke Davis (Kaden, Kameron, and Kinley), Alexis and Blair Gomez (Collin and Desiree), Braden Fuentez, and Ian Drayer.
Hudson was adored by his many prayer warriors and the supporters of his Strong Like Hudson Foundation.
In Huddy's short time, he was a blessing and a gift from God and will be deeply missed.
We would like to thank the doctors, nurses, childlife specialists, Cohen (the therapy dog), and the hematology and oncology staff at Texas Children’s for taking great care of Hudson. A special thanks to Dr Johnson and his staff at Augusta Children’s Hospital for their support.
