George Robert Coiner, Jr., 60, of The Woodlands TX passed away on Friday December 31, 2010 surrounded by his family at Methodist Hospital in Houston. George was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
George graduated from Milton High School in Milton, West Virginia. He went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree from Marshall University and received his MBA from Morehead State University. He was a well known and respected businessman in the oil and gas industry for the last 37 years. He will be remembered for many reasons by all who were acquainted with him. George enjoyed traveling with his family, playing golf, and pursuing new business ventures. He especially cherished the time spent at the family home in Lake Tahoe with his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents George and Lillian Coiner.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart, wife of 41 years, Jeanette Jordan Coiner, their son Robert and his wife Roxanne of San Antonio; their daughter Amy Eggleton of Spring; their son Thomas and his wife Amy of Pearland, and his brother Michael Coiner and wife Diane of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Grandchildren are Tyler and Lauren Coiner of San Antonio, Amber and Michael Eggleton of Spring, and Isabelle, Chase and Garrett Coiner of Pearland.
A funeral mass is set for 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 26777 Glen Loch, The Woodlands, TX 77380. Interment will follow in Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 4, 2011 in the Chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands.
