Gene René Urban

Gene René Urban went to be with our Lord on March 20, 2024, in the comfort of his home, in Spring, TX. He was reunited with his parents, Andrew and Cheri Urban, who preceded him in death. He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 44 years, Arlette, son Adley Urban, daughter Chrystal Stalder and his cherished grandson, Dean Stalder. He also leaves behind his sister, Janet Banks and her husband David, sister Marsha Sargent, numerous nieces and nephews, friends and family members, and his faithful canine companion, Strider.

Gene was born on January 1, 1957 in Shreveport, Louisiana and moved to Houston, TX as a young boy. He attended St. Thomas High School and went on to become a well-respected electrical designer.

Gene loved spending time in nature at his ranch in Huntsville. However, there was nothing he loved more than his family, and he always made sure they knew it. He fought a courageous and valiant fight against cancer. Gene was, and his family continues to be grateful to the entire team at MD Anderson Hospital of Houston.

A visitation for Gene will be held Monday, March 25, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a rosary from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384. A funeral will occur Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and will be immediately followed by a catered reception from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
