Gary Albert Roesler was born on June 5, 1933 in Houston, Texas to the late Juanita Rose Lindemann Roesler and Albert Willie Roesler. He departed this life on Friday, November 20, 2015 at home with his family gathered around him. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gerald William Roesler and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He and his family were members of Zion Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas. He and his family lived in Houston, Texas for most of his life. He graduated from the University of Houston as a Geologist. He served our country in the Army from July 15, 1953 to March 25, 1955; after leaving the army he began his 38 year career with Moretrench American Corporation, a dewatering company, based out of Newark, New Jersey. His accomplishments during his tenure at Moretrench were the dewatering of the Astrodome, the Houston Medical Center, the Galleria and the Bay City Power Plant and many more sites throughout the world. After having to take a medical retirement, he became a consultant for Griffin Dewatering & W.S. Bellows Construction. He had many hobbies, one of which was growing oak trees from acorns; some of these trees have been planted at Advent Lutheran Church; where he served in many capacities as a member of Advent Lutheran Church.
In October, 1958, he met the love of his life, Sally May Gulley. He asked her to marry him on her birthday, December 8, 1958. They were married on April 10, 1959 and had three kids.
He leaves to cherish his sweet memories, his wife, Sally May Gulley Roesler of 56 years and their three children and spouses: Timothy Craton Roesler and wife Shalla; Susan Kay Mays and husband, Marcus; Michael Albert Roesler and wife Janette. Along with nine grandchildren: Stephanie Roesler, Christopher Phillips, Justin Roesler, Samantha Roesler, Sean Phillips, Amanda Roesler, Gary Phillips, Taylor Roesler and Kristin Roesler.
Along with his sister, Rosemary Willborg and two sister-in-laws: Kathy Roesler and Loretta Lanclose and many nieces and nephews.
