Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Joanna Colston; brother, Mark Anthony Colston and step-son, Brian George.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary Lee Patton Colston of Spring, son Chris Colston (companion Amie Combs) of The Woodlands, TX granddaughter Ashley Colston of Spring, TX; brother Tim Colston (Gale) of Brookville OH; brother Tom Colston (Sarah) of North Canton, Ohio; brother Paul Colston (Sita) of Jakarta, Indonesia; sister-in-law Ruth Anne Fairchild (Bill) of Lexington, Kentucky & brother-in-law Dan Patton (Karen) of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin.
Fred was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church for many years and was a devoted Christian. He served in the ACTS (adoration, community, theology and service) ministry, attended Bible studies, was in the adult choir, served as a Paduan ambassador, was an usher, a member of the men's ministry (TMIY) and served on the prayer team.
Fred joined Knights of Columbus in September 2017. He was very active in the St Anthony of The Woodlands Council 12327 and served as their chancellor. He became a 4th Degree Knight in October 2018.
A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 11:00 a.m., Monday April 15, 2019 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 7801 Bay Branch Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77382. Interment will follow in Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery with a reception afterward. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 S The Woodlands TX 77384.
