Francisco M. Garcia

Francisco graduated from Lyford High School in 1962 (Sebastian, TX) and later attended San Jacinto College (Pasadena, TX). He was an Army veteran serving his country from 1964 – 1966 and retired with 38 years tenure with Kraft Maxwell House. He along with his wife Catarina were devoted members of St. Anthony’s of Padua in The Woodlands, TX. His passion was playing with his 9 great grandchildren that he looked forward to seeing every weekend. He was also a sports fanatic watching Astros, Texans and Rockets games. Although he was stricken with multiple illnesses over the past 9 years, he never once complained and was very thankful for the support from family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Miguel and Trinidad Garcia of Santa Rosa, TX and father and mother in law Luz and Natalia Oviedo of Sebastian, TX. Francisco is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Catarina Oviedo, and his three children; Frank Garcia, Glenda Saski, Ina Garcia, his six brothers and sisters; Genaro Garcia (Harlingen, TX), Carlos Garcia (Harlingen, TX), Jose Garcia (Harlingen, TX), Dominga Escobar (Woodsboro, TX), Paulina Wilson (Woodsboro, TX), Celia Gonzales (Santa Rose, TX). He also had 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
