Francis W. Bernacki, 84, of The Woodlands Texas, passed away March 16, 2017. He was born in Yonkers, New York on November 5, 1932. Frank graduated from Yonkers High School and received a Bachelors of Civil Engineering from Manhattan College.
He was married to Theresa Trukafka on October 25, 1958.
Frank had a career in Civil Engineering for Fact Technical Services, Shilstone Engineering, Southwestern Labs and other engineering companies.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the United States Air Force. Frank was a devout Catholic serving as a Eucharistic Minister and several other ministries at the churches he was a member of. He was active as a 3rd and 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Frank enjoyed his many years in the Knights, serving as a Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator and State Warden on the Texas state council. He enjoyed playing golf and penny poker in his spare time. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Xavier. and Anna Bernacki.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Bernacki; children, Thomas Bernacki from Chicago, Robert Bernacki and wife Mary from Myrtle Beach, Patricia Flowe and her husband Mark from Sugar Land; grandchildren, Lindsey (Chris) Mayer, Michael (Kelsey) Bernacki, Patrick Bernacki, Kayla Blankenship, William Bernacki, Marshall Flowe and Mackenzie Flowe; great-grandchildren, Audrey and Benjamin Mayer.
Visitation will be at Forest Park Funeral Home in The Woodlands from 5:00pm-8:00pm March 26. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am, March 27th at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
