Elizabeth J. Hoffman, born on April 25th 1938 and died on February 6th 2023 at the age of 84 after a long battle with heart disease and cancer in Conroe, Texas. Elizabeth was born in Hearne, Texas to parents Jesse Lloyd and Mary Elizabeth Vaughn. Elizabeth married her husband Henry in 1962, and they raised three sons Russell, Henry Earl and Gordon. In 1973 Elizabeth started working as a special education teacher’s aide for the Spring Independent School district for five years before becoming an exemplary Realtor and Real Estate Broker for Emmett Kelly Realtors until retiring in 2003 to spend more time with her family.
Elizabeth was a kind and compassionate woman of faith who was an inspiration to her children by always guiding them through their spiritual journey. She loved the Lord and taught Catechism to young teenagers at St. Edward Catholic Church in Spring, Texas in the seventies. Elizabeth was an outstanding cook who never made a bad meal. Many holidays and joyous occasions were spent around her dining room table entertaining friends and family. We will never forget Elizabeth’s golden heart, humor, wisdom and long conversations. May the days be short until we see her again in heaven.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents Mary and Jesse Vaughn, son Russell Warren Colleps, grandsons Ethan Zachary Hoffman, Nathan Warren Colleps and Kevin Warren Colleps. Elizabeth is survived by her husband Henry E. Hoffman, sons Henry E. Hoffman Jr and Gordon Glen Hoffman, brother Larry Vaughn, and sister Billie Joyce DeLeon, plus numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Services will be held Monday, February 13, 2023 at Forest Park Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 S., The Woodlands, TX 77384. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The funeral service will take place from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The committal service will take place from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm. A reception will take place from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
