Edward P. Raposa, Jr., 84, of The Woodlands, Texas passed away peacefully at home on January 30, 2022, with his wife, Joan and daughter, Jennifer at his side. He was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on June 15, 1937, but got to Texas as fast as he could, following his Uncle Tony to Texas and into the field of real estate. Ed worked in commercial and residential real estate for over 50 years. He brought integrity in all that he did and truly loved working with all sorts of people.
He had a passion for fishing in the Gulf of Mexico off Bolivar Peninsula as well as the waters of his native Clarks Cove in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. His stories of Clarks Cove quahogging adventures are many and legendary. Ed was well known for his quick wit and joking sense of humor. He had the best belly laugh ever! He was well loved and will be greatly missed. He will be especially missed by his two best four-legged friends, Smokey and Bandit. They were his comfort and joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward, Sr. and Virginia, and his brother, Manny. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan and family, including Jennifer Graff and husband, Todd, their children, Georgia and Anders, Randee Sullivan, and husband, Allen, and their children, Shanta, AJ and Sheena as well as Pam Deceault and husband, Rich.
The family would like to thank the folks at Bristol Hospice for their loving care and attention to Ed.
Ed's memorial service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
