Edward (Eddie) LeBlanc Sr., beloved father, husband, and Marine, formerly a resident of the Woodlands, Texas, died November 14th 2021 at his home in Bedias, Texas surrounded by his loving family and four legged companions. He was 52 years old.
Eddie was born on June 19th, 1969 in Bourg, Louisiana, to parents Louella and Dewey LeBlanc. Shortly thereafter moving to New Iberia, where he grew up. After graduating high school from New Iberia High School, Eddie joined the Marine Corps in July 1987 and was stationed in California. During his time in the Marine Corps, he met the love of his life, Louella, and they married on November 21st 1990 in Visalia, California. He reached the rank of Staff Sergeant in the Marine Corps serving 12 years and was honorably discharged in July 1999.
Once he left the Marine Corps, Eddie and Louella moved to The Woodlands, Texas where he worked in his first civilian job at Global Crossing utilizing his telecommunication experience from the Marine Corps. During his time at Global Crossing, Eddie pursued a bachelor’s degree and graduated from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Technology and Supervision in 2007. Shortly after graduation, Eddie joined the Scheidt and Bachmann team starting as a project manager and progressed to the Director of Project Management. He enjoyed his time working for Scheidt and Bachmann and the time he spent with his U.S. and German colleagues.
Eddie spent half of his life collecting bottle caps from unique beers he drank all over the world that he hoped he could create into a unique bar top. In 2015, after moving to his beloved Triple L Ranch and more than two decades of collecting, he was able to realize his dream. He created a bar through his own hands with the help of his closest family and friends. Eddie loved nothing more than to entertain friends and family at his pool side bar that he called the “Back 40 Bar”. For those who were lucky enough to have it, his brisket and ribs could rival any champion barbeque in the country. Eddie was known for wanting to help and teach anyone who had a desire to learn or improve themselves. For Eddie, there was no task that he could not accomplish, he was a jack of all trades, and was a lifelong learner.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louella and Dewey, and his siblings Mike and Paula. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 31 years Louella, and his children Edward (and wife Kimberly), Tyler, and Angela, along with his sisters and extended family.
