We are sad to announce the passing of Edith Maria Jiménez Rubiano de Cortes, 80 years old, who passed away in the Houston Methodist the Woodlands Hospital on July 22nd of 2023 after a sudden illness. Edith was a generous person who spread joy and happiness through her heartfelt gifts. We will miss her very much. “6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work”. Corinthians 9: 6-8 “6 Pero esto digo: El que siembra escasamente, también segará escasamente; y el que siembra generosamente, generosamente también segará. 7 Cada uno dé como propuso en su corazón: no con tristeza, ni por necesidad, porque Dios ama al dador alegre. 8 Y poderoso es Dios para hacer que abunde en vosotros toda gracia, a fin de que, teniendo siempre en todas las cosas todo lo suficiente, abundéis para toda buena obra”. Services for Edith will be Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home located at 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. The family will begin receiving friends at 1:00 p.m. in the Grand Hall with the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Ftr. Kailas Hivale will officiate. Following the service, the family invites you to stay and join them for a reception in the R.L. Wood Room.
