I'm one of David's cousins from Pennsylvania.  His mom, Dorothy and my mom Frances were sisters. I only found out today that David passed away. So sorry for your loss.

Mr. David was a customer of our bank for several years . He was always friendly and we looked forward to his visits. He took the time to get to know each of us. His humor and positive attitude was like a breath of fresh air.  We are so shocked to learn of his passing.  Please accept our deepest condolences and know that he will be missed.

I literally have no words because not only am I shocked he's gone too soon, there are no exact words to describe. Heaven has definitely gained an angel, you will be missed David. Rest well my friend, rest well.

I had the pleasure of working with David at the SJRA Woodlands Division. I still remember his first joke when we met “Have you Sina good movie lately?!” He used my name to make me laugh. He quickly broke the ice and welcomed me to the WD.  He had a phenomenal personality full of positive energy, high standards, honestly and dedication.  I enjoyed every time we discussed any work or life matter. I was so sad to hear of your loss, David.  My sincerest condolences to the Guyer family.

Dave was a giving soul and friend.  For sure, the best neighbor a young couple could ask for!  From 7/2000 to 8/2016, Dave was there to answer all of our questions on the car, dogs, weather, and home.  From joking with our daughter Bailey,  to repairing our burst  pipes,  he was our angel.  We will miss you, your jokes , and your laugh.  Sarah, Brian, and Debbie you guys were his joy.  May God grant peace, and the Holy Spirit continue to comfort.  We are here for you guys!!!

I consider myself fortunate to have had the privilege of knowing and working with David for over 20 years at SJRA. David’s work ethic and electrical expertise were second to none. Though much more than that, I know that I am blessed to have experienced his friendship, faith, and humor. Often during lunch, we would play classic rock trivia, I would play a few seconds of a song, then ask David to name the song title and artist, and I’m sure it’s no surprise to those who knew him, David would always know the answer! I will never forget David and will remember him as positive, kind, caring, motivating and just fun to be around! I feel honored to have known David, and I pray comfort for his family.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences for your loss. I worked with Mr. Guyer three years while at SJRA and he always greeted with a huge smile in the mornings. He would bring peppers he grew and I would make salsa for him and his wife until I passed the recipe. He will be missed.  

I remember meeting David on my first day (when I started as a temp  6 years ago in The Woodlands office).  He welcomed me and told me to be sure to let him know if anyone was mean to me and he would take care of it.  He went out of his way to make sure he made everyone feel welcome and comfortable.  When he started working up at the GRP location - he would always come by and ask how I was doing.  He asked about family - he knew my daughter was also a teacher - so we would talk about our daughters a lot in our conversations.  He loved his family with all of his heart and I pray for their comfort during this most difficult time.  His smile, laughter, faith, and positive attitude will be greatly missed.   SJRA will not be the same without him.

Work will not be the same anymore without David (Davey as a lot of us called him), his presence was always positive and uplifting. I will cherish all the talks, jokes, laughter, fist bumps to say "hi" or "good job" that were shared through the many years (approximately 22) of friendship! He always had a way of putting a smile on my face when he could see I was having a bad day; he would smile that smile and tell me that I was God's beloved, worked every time! I am a better person for knowing David... Rest in peace my friend, until we meet again!

Dearest condolences and prayers go out to David's precious family.  He was always a Gentleman, and a true professional in word and action.  I do not know if David was a Boy Scout, however he certainly acted like one.  Working on multiple projects over the years with David was an honor and wonderful learning experience for me.  I will miss our site walks and problem solving conversations.  It is a blessing to know we will walk and talk again some day.  

At SJRA, I worked with David for almost 11 years, and during that time, he become a great friend in addition to a co-worker.  David and I worked on many projects together, and he was always passionate about all that he did.  I know he very dearly loved Debbie and was so proud of Sarah, and it was always a great time when we just sit together in an office or at the lunch room and talk about life.

I do not know who chose this picture, but it absolutely caught the true spirit of Davey! During Dave's tenure with SJRA he and I worked together on more projects than I can count! We would be presented with a challenge and Dave was right there to be part of the answer! We would dig through prints, consult the National Electrical Code, and in my opinion come up with the best, most effective answer available. His professional demeanor, and mostly important his true caring Christian attitude always shined through! I have lost a great friend and colleague! My life is richer for having know Dave!!!!! 

I am deeply saddened! I remember David as a young boy riding his big wheel up and down Lancaster Ave. with our son.  I am sure there is joy in heaven meeting his mom and dad.
