Services for Mr. Darrell William Robinson will be Monday, January 16, 2023 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home located at 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. The service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Grand Hall. Following the service, the family would like to express their love for you by having you join them for a reception in the R. L. Wood Event Room at Forest Park.
Darrell passed away January 2, 2023 at M.D. Anderson in Houston, Texas. He was born March 29, 1954 in Jacksboro, Texas, one of seven children to Herman and Birdenia (Spaulding) Robinson. He was 68 years of age. His siblings were Glenn Robinson, Terry Robinson, Gary Robinson, Dennis Robinson, Linda Smith, and Debra Moore.
Darrell graduated from Perrin High School where he was active in all sports. He married Charlotte Archer shortly after high school on November 1, 1974 at the Church of Christ in Perrin. They had two sons, Dwayne and Ryan, which he coached in baseball and passed on his knowledge and love of sports.
In addition to sports, Darrell loved classic rock music, traveling, and deep sea fishing. His favorite destinations were Hawaii, St. Lucia, Honduras, Belize, Cozumel, Mt. Rushmore, Ruidoso, Colorado, and Jamaica. He loved his family and was a loyal husband, dedicated father, and mentor. Above all, he loved the Lord.
Darrell worked very hard and was very successful in the Oil & Gas Industry. He retired from Oasis Petroleum as their Sr. SCADA Analyst. He, also, worked previously for Cantex, Dallas Production, and Mitchell Gas Services, and Kinder Morgan.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Charlotte Robinson; two devoted sons, Dwayne Robinson and wife Lauren, Ryan Robinson and wife Kensey; six wonderful grandchildren, Kamden, Ayden, Braydon, Gage, Kameryn, and Jace; sister, Debra Moore; brother, Dennis Robinson; and numerous extended family and treasured friends.
