DaNean Lucille (Bonsall) Hart was born in Renwick, Iowa on November 6, 1937. She passed peacefully into Heaven to be reunited with her husband, parents, family and friends on March 20, 2023 having lived over 85 years.
DaNean spent most of her childhood in Osage, Wyoming where her mother's family had settled. She graduated from nearby Upton HS in 1955 and attended business school in Rapid City, SD before marrying her husband, Charles Hart on December 4, 1955. She and Charles raised their three children in Rapid City and actively supported the many activities their children participated in.
DaNean's many talents included sewing all the clothing for her two daughters, purchasing all the building supplies needed to build spec homes to supplement retirement savings for her parents and her own family, and managing the motel business she and Charles invested in to build retirement savings.
In later years DaNean and Charles lived in Casper, WY and Spokane, WA where her proficiency as a tax preparer was a source of pride for her. After her husband's death in November of 2018, DaNean moved to Houston, TX to be close to her oldest daughter. She spent the final years of her life in assisted living, then memory care facilities where she enjoyed daily exercise classes, singing and dancing to music she knew from her youth, and watching birds and squirrels out of her large window overlooking The Woodlands Waterway.
DaNean was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Pearl Bonsall; her mother, Lucille Violet (Julius) Bonsall; granddaughter Sydnee Marie; and her husband, Charles Earl Hart. She is survived by three children and their spouses: Cheryl (Hart) Nelson and her husband Bryan Nelson; Craig Hart and his wife Michele Hart; and Sheila (Hart) Mitro and her husband John Mitro. Her seven grandchildren and their spouses: Jared Nelson and his wife, Cheryl; Justin Nelson and his wife, Heidi; Ashley (Nelson) Carriage and her husband Ryan; Trevor Hart and his partner, Kat; Brianne (Hart) Fosse and husband Jesse; Samantha Mitro; and Nick Mitro. DaNean was blessed with seven great-grandchildren.
A gathering for DaNean will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
