On May 30, 2024, Claudia Sue Daggett was called home by her Lord and Savior. She passed peacefully, surrounded by dear friends and family.
Claudia was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and Grammy; family was all encompassing and of all importance to her. An avid baseball fan and Houston Astros faithful, she never missed an opportunity to enjoy a baseball game & faithfully root on her Astros!
Claudia was born on July 9, 1952 in Chillocothe, MO. As a young girl, she grew up in Colorado Springs; graduating from Wasson High School and receiving her Occupational Therapy degree from Colorado State University, where she met her loving husband of 47 years, Greg.
Accepting Christ as a high school student, attending Young Life in Colorado Springs, she has always been passionate about touching the hearts of young people with Christ’s love. She carried that passion with her to her last breath.
Some of her favorite experiences were family trips with her children and grandchildren, watching her granddaughters dance, and her grandsons play baseball. In September of 2023, the Intrepid Museum in NYC honored her uncle, Loren Isley, in an exhibit displaying parts of his WW2 Corsair that were recovered in more recent years in the Pacific. The pilgrimage to NYC for the exhibit unveiling was one of the most meaningful events in her life. Having her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews present for the unveiling was so very gratifying to her personally.
Overcoming many significant health battles over the last 20 years, she IS our unsung hero in her fight! Above it ALL she praised God, and faithfully shared His Word with everyone she knew. Claudia would never shy away from the hard conversations. Her most effective evangelism was not only her words, but most certainly the example she set in her daily life. She continued to remain faithful; at all times praising Him and glorifying His name regardless of her circumstances.
Today her pain and suffering has been overcome! She has no doubt been welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior with the words “Well done good and faithful servant, you will suffer no more. For today you have entered the Kingdom of Heaven, and I have prepared a place here for you.”
Claudia’s life scripture is “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Claudia is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne & Rosemary Isley of Colorado Springs, CO. She is survived by her husband, Greg Daggett of the Woodlands, TX; daughter Amy Loftin and her husband Michael, of Lubbock, TX, daughter Kelly Brown and her husband Patrick, of New Braunfels, TX; granddaughter Sidney Silverthorn and her husband Jonah, of Frisco, TX; grandsons Jadon and Cooper Loftin of Lubbock,TX, granddaughters Emerson and Reagan Brown of New Braunfels, TX; brother Dale Isley and his wife Beth, of Denver, CO; and sister Jill Huston and her husband Steve, of Aurora, CO, and many adoring nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life gathering will take place on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at 6pm at The Woodlands Country Club in the ballroom.
