Cheryl Akers, 57, of Spring, Texas, passed away on January 21, 2019. She was born in Houston, Texas, on October 25, 1961.

Cheryl graduated from McCullough High School and received an Associate’s Degree in nursing from Kingwood College. She married John Akers on May 22, 1997. Cheryl had a career in nursing for many years, specializing in senior care. She loved animals and had a passion for cruising.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother, Linda LaCoure. She is survived by her father, Jack LaCoure; husband, John Akers; daughter, Kimberly Diller, and her husband, Shane; son, Jacob Davis; grandchildren, Jordan, Jaxon, and Joe Davis, and Jayden and Piper Diller; brothers, Jack, Jerry, and Johnny LaCoure.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 25, 2019, starting at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel and event room of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. A celebration of Cheryl’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m. in Forest Park’s chapel at and will be immediately followed by a committal service in the cemetery.
