Charles R. Johnson

Charles Ray Johnson passed away Friday afternoon, April 15, 2022 in The Woodlands, Texas. He was born August 6, 1937 in Morgan County, Alabama to Walter Cleo and Verda Lee (Brown) Johnson. He was 84 years of age and had been a resident of The Woodlands since March of 1971.

Mr. Johnson served his country in the U.S. Army. He attended University of Arizona. He worked from 1965 until 1988 (25 years) for Hughes Tool Company of Houston, Texas before retiring.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his three sisters, Virginia Davis of Spring, Texas, Faye Clark of Lakeland, Florida, and Judy Huntsinger of El Cajon, California; and many nephews and nieces.

The family will begin receiving friends at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2022 in the Chapel Mausoleum at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home located at 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harry Vein of Faith United Methodist Church, Spring, Texas officiating. Mr. Johnson will be laid to rest in the Chapel Mausoleum at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
