Charles “Charlie” Alonzo Reese, Sr., 78, of Conroe, Texas passed away September 3, 2011. He was born August 3, 1933 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Charles Ray and Mabel Kethley Reese. He is also preceded in death by his son Charles Alonzo Reese, Jr. Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Betty Jo Reese; daughters Linda Coy and husband Steven, Pamela Rodriguez and husband Alex, Debbie Clark and husband Gary. Grandchildren Stephanie, Brian, Brent, Kimberly, Alex, Adam, Joseph, Teri and Heather; great granddaughters Addison and Katherine; sister Doris Reese Ryan and husband Gus; niece and nephew Leslie Liuzza and Mark Unbehagen.
Charlie retired, after 22 years as a mechanical engineer, from Dow Chemical. He was a former commissioner of Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association and also was a longtime coach of girls’ softball. There are no words to express the love he had for his family. He was a dedicated father, grandfather and great grandfather supporting every activity they were involved in. He will be greatly missed by all.
A celebration of Charlie’s life is set for 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 10, 2011 in the Chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home.
