He was born in Austin, Texas, on March 3, 1988. Brian graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 2006 and Lone Star College in 2009 having received an associate degree in Fire Science and Technology. Shortly after receiving his degree, he obtained his Emergency Medical Technician certification.
In 2016, Brian began a career with Amazon as an Emergency Medical Responder and in 2023 promoted to a Safety/OSHA Manager at the Amazon facility in Spokane, Washington.
Brian loved all things adventurous and outdoors. His greatest passions were for skydiving and snowboarding, making an annual trek to Angel Fire, New Mexico, every year beginning in high school.
He is survived by his parents Karen and Robert Smith and his sister and her husband Ashley and Spencer Mehrens. He is also survived by his aunts and uncle, Sherry Reyes, Cynthia Budinsky, Glenda Genchur, and Debbie and Jackson Martin. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, snowboarding buddies, and countless friends and loved ones.

A memorial service for Brian will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384, followed by a reception from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
