Billy Woodard Sr., 64, of Spring, Texas passed away on May 25, 2017. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 9, 1952. Billy served in the Army from 1970-1972 in Germany. On June 25, 1985, Billy married his soulmate, Laura Woodard, and together they enjoyed 32 years together.
Billy had a career in painting, as well as his own rock crystal business. He owned Bill Woodard Painting and Billy’s Crystals. In fact, some of his greatest passions were rocks and quartz crystals, fishing, and his family. Another thing Billy was passionate about was saving souls. He was a proud member of Generations Church, and he loved to talk about Jesus.
Billy is preceded in death by his son, Matthew; his brother, Larry; and his parents, Cecil and Ruth Woodard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laura; his children, Rachel Leon and husband, Marlon, Billy Woodard, Jr. and wife, Kim, Sommer Day and husband, Corey, Eric Woodard and wife, Jessica, and Heather Hebert; grandchildren, Noah, Leila, Matthew, Will, Sammy, Christian, Darian, Andrew, Erika, Sergio, Isaac, Lexi, Ariana, Cristian, Brandon and Melissa; great-grandchildren, Adriel, Emmarie, Jaxon; brother, Gary Woodard, Sr.; sister, Debbie Ricks, and many other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, with the service to follow in the chapel at 3 p.m. The burial will take place in Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery immediately following the service.
