Barry Jeffrey Liss

Barry Jeffrey Liss passed away in his home Tuesday, November 17, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marjorie Liss. Barry is survived by his lifelong partner of 18 years, Wesley Howard Goble, of Spring, Texas, as well as a large airline family.

Barry was born in Morristown, New Jersey in 1949. He grew up there, but later earned his bachelors degree from Arizona State University. However, his love and passion was always flying. Barry started working part-time with TWA in Phoenix, Arizona.

After graduation, he served our nation in the United States Air Force where he achieved the rank of Captain. Further, he earned his license as a private pilot.

Barry joined United Airlines in Newark and eventually, he found his way to Continental Airlines where he spent most of his career. Ironically, before his retirement in January of 2015, Barry had returned to United Airlines through the merger.

A memorial service will be held for Barry Liss on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Forest Park The Woodlands, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. For directions, please call 936-321-5115.
