Her parents, Lily “Lee” Rubin Hamburger and Meyer Raymond Hamburger or “Meyer the Buyer”, raised her well as a middle child between an older brother, Marvin and a younger one, Howard or “Little Howard.”
She met her husband of 53 and 1/2 years in the Catskill Mountains resort of The Nemerson Hotel in South Fallsburg, New York. It took little for them to fall in love and with consenting parents, they were married on November 3, 1962.
A daughter, Peri Yvonne arrived on January 4, 1966 and a son, Steven Neil followed on July 14, 1969.

Barbara lived a short, but full life filled with the best of everything. She was the epitome of a “JAQ,” Jewish-American Queen, until a Ponzi scheme sucked the life, fun and money away in 2013 with bankruptcy in December 2015.
She will be terribly missed by her family, friends, neighbors and many contacts from around the world.
