Alexander Delmore DuMont

Alexander Delmore DuMont, Jr. 94, of The Woodlands, TX passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 8:12 AM.

He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on July 25, 1928. Alexander attended Castle Heights Military Prep School in Nashville, Tennessee, and Middle Tennessee State. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War.

He married Louise Morley DuMont on October 19, 1957. They were married for 63 years.

A.D. was employed at W. H. Branson Roofing Company as an estimator from 1965 -2000. He was a deacon at West University Baptist Church and The Woodlands First Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Morley DuMont, his father, Alexander Delmore DuMont, Sr., and his mother Norine Patterson DuMont.

He is survived by his two daughters, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. They are as follows: Denise DuMont Winchester (daughter), her husband Dr. Terry Winchester, and their children; Lauren Nicole Winchester (daughter), her spouse Juan Roberto Salem; Ashley Winchester Anderson (daughter), her spouse Matthew Wayne Anderson; Chase Wallace Winchester (son). Lane DuMont Hirl (daughter), her spouse Jeffrey Roger Hirl Sr. and their children; Jeffrey Roger Hirl Jr. (son), his spouse Tammy Jean Hirl and great-grandaughter Tessa Claire Hirl; Brittany Alexandra Worsham (daughter), her spouse Dr. Jesse Lee Worsham and great-granddaughter Grace Leigh Worsham; Shannon Leigh Simmons (daughter), her spouse Nicholas James Simmons.

There will be a Graveside Service at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery on January 12, 2022, at 11:00 AM. There is also a visitation/viewing beginning at 10:30 AM. Guests are welcome to begin arriving at 10:00 AM.
