Mrs. Edwards will be fondly remembered as a caring and devoted wife for almost 60 years, an unconditionally loving mother, and a doting grandmother & great-grandmother. She was active up until the last week of her life, living – as she had for over 80 years – caring for those around her. She exemplified the best in all of us – she was compassionate, sincere, patient, and selfless. Her home and her heart were always a safe harbor for those whom she loved so dearly. Perhaps the most enduring legacy she has left us is in a simple act she did countless times…ending each conversation with a gentle smile and a simple ‘I love you.’ And while we miss that smile today, we rejoice in the fact that she is now back in the warm embrace of her Lord and her husband. Through the life she led, she reminds each of us to be patient with each other, to say something kind to one another every day, and to laugh often. We will miss you.
