Mr. Bocox was born January 5, 1925 in Arden,Arkansas. He was the retired owner of Ashdown Tire Center a member of Central Baptist Church,Ashdown, Arkansas and a highly decorated WWII Army Veteran and the receipient of 2 Bronze Stars and 1 Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Bocox, his parents, Ray and Myrtle Bocox, his brothers, Harold Bocox and Roger Bocox and one sister, Mary Lou Sehon.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law; Phillip and Jacolyn Bocox of Texarkana,Arkansas and a daughter and son-in-law; Paula and Mike Young of Wake Village, Texas. Also left to cherish his memory are his five grandchildren and their spouses; Kristopher and Shelley Bocox, Kasey and Kimberly Bocox, Kobey Bocox, Brittany and Jason Rogers and Ashley and James Lybrand and 9 great grandchildren; Lauryn Bocox, Marcus Bocox, MiKayla Arbeene, Bethany Arbeene, Jaxon Rogers, Jase Rogers, Kolton Lybrand, Lane Lybrand an Gabriel Lybrand. Sisters- in- laws; Ruth Bocox, Linda Bocox, Wanda Beasley, Betty Starkey, Martha Grigson , Dean Starkey a brother-in-law, Ray Starkey and brother-in-laws and sisters-in-law; Prentice and Doris Scoggins and Mike and Jessie Pryor and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2016 at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday , September 13, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery withl Rev. Don Embry officiating.
