She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Altom; daughter, Earlene Altom; son, Jearld Altom; and grandson, William Altom.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Karen Altom of Texarkana, AR; granddaughters, Shannon Hays, Peggy Altom of Texarkana, AR and Jan Sellers of Houston, TX; great granddaughters, Jennifer Beel of New Boston, TX and Brittany Edwards of Texarkana, TX; great grandsons, Joseph Altom of Texarkana, AR and Casey Edwards of New Boston, TX; and 5 great great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Independence Cemetery with Rev. Frank McFerrin officiating. Burial is under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the funeral home.
