Mary Ann Mitchell

Mary Ann Mitchell, 79 of Texarkana Ark, with dignity and grace, peacefully passed away Thursday April 25, 2013 after a bravely fought battle with cancer. Her outward and inner beauty came from her devote love of God and her strength from love of family.

After retiring from the College Hill Drug were she was a cosmetology consultant, she and husband Lewis traveled, camped, and shopped while planning their life around the many grandchildren and holiday events that completed her life.

Mary was born to the late John and Georgia Thomason on Sept 29, 1933 in Garland, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by one brother John and sister Dorothy Thomason Davis.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Lewis (Mitch) Mitchell, two sons and daughters-n-law, Frankie and Bo Halter of Texarkana, Texas, Mike and Cynthia Halter of Lewisville, Arkansas, two daughters and son-n-laws, Linda and Ed Eaton of Texarkana, Arkansas and Missy and Thom Knight of Texarkana, Arkansas, One very special twin sister Martha Jones of Fouke, Arkansas, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 5 nephews, 2 nieces and many other extended family.

Services will be at 2pm Monday, April 29, 2013 at the East Memorial Chapel-Moores Lane with Rev. Todd Reed and Rev. Ed Eaton officiating. Burial will be in the East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home-Moores Lane. Visitation will be Sunday April 28, 2013 from 2pm to 4pm at the East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.

Family will be at 5814 Summerwood Lane, Texarkana, Ark.
