Martha Claire Woods, age 77, of Texarkana, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025 in a local hospital. She was born on November 13, 1947 in Texarkana, AR. Mrs. Woods was a member of First Baptist Church and was an animal lover.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gary Woods and parents Clarence Y. and Ruth Shoemaker.
Survivors include her son Gary Lynn Woods of Texarkana, AR; two sisters, Grace Cardwell of Texarkana, TX and Carol Sue Smith and husband Wesley Smith of Denton, TX; niece, Elizabeth Cardwell; two nephews, John Cardwell, Jr. and Curtis Smith.
Funeral service will be 10 am Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at First Baptist Church Atrium with Rev. Bryan Bixler officiating. Burial will be in Rondo Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.
Family will receive friends on 6pm to 8pm Tuesday, March 24, 2025 At East Funeral Home- Moores Lane.
