Marcus "Mark" Schoen

Marcus "Mark" Schoen, 79, of Hot Springs Village, AR died April 16,2011 at his home. He was born on April 4, 1932 in Texarkana, AR to the late John P. and Rosie Schoen. Mr. Schoen is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hot Springs Village, AR and former member of St Edwards Catholic Church in Texarkana, AR, a veteran serving in the U.S. Airforce.He graduated from Provdence Academy in 1950 and had a Bachelors degree as an aeronautical engineer and was retired from Bell Helicopter .

He is preceded in death by a two sisters-in-law Kathy Schoen and Jean Schoen and brother-in-law James Knox Morse,Sr.

Having a love for the game of golf after retirememnt he moved to Hot Springs Village to play at least four days a week.

Survivors include two sisters and brother-in-law; Ethel Morse of Texarkana, TX and Rosalie and John Pope of Texarkana, AR; four brothers and sisters-in-law; Robert and Joyce Schoen of Texarkana, TX, Paul Schoen of Texarkana, AR, Joseph and Thana Schoen of Hope, AR and Harry and Cheryl Schoen of Texarkana, AR. a number of nieces and nephews

Mass of Christian burial will be 10am Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at St Edwards Catholic Church with Rev. Paul Worm and Deacon Joe Bruick officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.

A rosary will be recited 7pm Monday April 25, 2011, at East Funeral Home-Downtown with visitation to follow.
