A devoted wife, mother, and grammy, Leslie lived for her family. From a young age Leslie knew she wanted to be a mother. While she worked throughout her young adult life, once she had a child at the age of 20, her full-time career was wife and mom. And she was the best. From rising early to get everything ready for the day to making fun crafts, helping with homework and making delicious meals, Leslie never stopped. Once her kids got older and she became a grandparent, Leslie then began Grammy School, as the kids fondly refer to it.
In addition to being a wonderful mother, Leslie was a dedicated and loving wife. She married the love of her life, Dennis Page, after knowing him for only three months. They were married for 46 years until Dennis’s passing. She lovingly took care of him their whole marriage, making lunches and glasses of sweet tea every morning, making sure his outfits matched, and being his caretaker through cancer.
Leslie was one of the most giving people you could ever meet. Her concern was always on others rather than herself. She made everyone feel welcome and cared for and made sure that no one ever left her home hungry. All it took was a phone call and she was there, mostly likely with food or drink in hand. She believed in the power of prayer and positivity and always tried to look on the bright side of things. Her home is filled with smiley faces and she absolutely loved watching birds at her window or a beautiful sunset. Like these cheerful things, Leslie had a beautiful soul and touched so many people’s lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ron and Lois Lybyer, her husband, Dennis Page, and three siblings, Julie, Mickey, and Curtis.
Survivors include her daughters Brandy Farrar and Katie Teer, son-in-law Joey Farrar, and two sisters, Renee Monroe and Cathy McCrary, all of Texarkana, Texas. She also leaves behind a legacy in her 8 grandchildren: Rylan, Dylan, Gracie, Jax, Paxton, Bella, Addie and Rae. While she will be missed greatly, she is now rejoicing in her heavenly body at the feet of Jesus.
A memorial visitation for Leslie will be held Friday, July 12, 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at East Funeral Home, 2807 Moores Ln, Texarkana, Texas.
