Lavon Howard McMurrian

Lavon Howard McMurrian, 91, formerly of Texarkana passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015 in a Nashville, TN hospice facility. She was born on February 7, 1924 in Pittsburg,KA. Mrs. McMurrian was retired from Rockwell International and was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband , Ira J. McMurrian in 1992.

Survivors included one son, Rollen McMurrian of Mt. Juliet, TN; one grandson and his wife, Jason and Cherlyn McMurrian of Antioch, TN; one granddaughter and her husband, Kristin and Michael Gawel of Mt. Juliet, TN; three great-grandchildren, Cassidy McMurrian, Cody Gawel and Hayden Gawel and a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral service will be 10:30am Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at East Memorial Chapel-Downtown with Rev. Kevin Myers officiating.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown

Family will receive friends from 4 to 7pm Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at East Funeral Home-Downtown.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Highland Baptist Church.
