Karl Hudson

Karl Hudson, 93, of Texarkana, AR passed away September 21, 2012 at his home. He was born September 11, 1919 in Miller County, Arkansas. Karl just celebrated his 93rd birthday with his family on September 11th and celebrated 69 years of marriage to Mildred.

Karl was the owner of Karl's Barber Shop for 66 years and continued to work there until he was 91. His many customers became his close friends. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and a veteran of the U. S. Army.

He is survived by his loving family, which includes his wife, Mildred Hudson of Texarkana, AR; daughter, Peggy Burg and her husband, Jim; granddaughter, Cynthia (Cindy) Askins of Dallas, TX; step grandson, Bryan Burg and his wife, Laura; great grandchildren, Robert, Jennifer, and Caroline all of Plano, TX; his sisters, Dessie Jones of Texarkana, TX and Frances Burnett of Texarkana, AR; and his brother, Billy Hudson of Leary, TX.

Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2012 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Rev. Norman Melton officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the funeral home.

The family will be at 2210 Hays St., Texarkana, AR.
