James Robert Pettis

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel and Eula Pettis;

Survivors include his loving wife, Brenda; one daughter and son-in-law, Tina Renee' and Travis Hutchison of Texarkana, AR; one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy James and Amy Pettis of West Monroe, LA; two daughters by marriage, Sera and Michael McCorkle of Texarkana, AR and Michelle Bearden of Texarkana, AR; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Virginia Pettis and Mike and Brenda Pettis all of West Monroe, LA and Randy and Jeannine Pettis of Austin, TX; two step brothers, Ross and Donna Armstrong of West Monroe, LA and Guy and Dona Armstrong of Texarkana, AR; two uncles, Tom and Vernell Pettis of Monroe, LA and Edgar and Rose Graham of Farmerville, LA; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 3 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2010 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Pastor Sam Martinez officiating. Services are under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, February 27 2010 at the funeral home.
