He was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas on June 8, 1953 to Richard and Jewel Horn. Richard joined the United States Marine Corp in 1974 and proudly served his country until 1978 when he was honorably discharged. He would later go on to earn his Associates Degree from Texarkana Community College in 1980.
Richard loved the Lord with all his heart and enjoyed serving at Hickory Street Baptist in Texarkana, Arkansas.
He was known as a “Jack of All Trades”. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Also enjoyed antiques, cars and traveling.
More than anything Richard could be found enjoying time with his children, grandchildren and his four great grandchildren.
Richard was proceeded in death by his parents Richard Carey Horn and Jewel Dean (Anderson) Horn.
He is survived by three siblings David (Robin) Horn, Debra (Dennis) Petty and Janice (Jack) Chumley. Four children James Richard Horn, Jr., Jennifer (Doug) Kelley, ElizaBeth (Jeff) Horn and Carlee Breslin. Seven grandchildren Kayla Kimball, Erin Horn, Hunter (Karina) Kimball, Nathan Kimball, Averi (Alex) McDaniel, Jakobi McDaniel and Riley Kimball and four great grandchildren along with countless nephews and nieces whom loved him dearly! He never met a stranger and was willing to friend anyone who enjoyed Corvettes or John Wayne.
Funeral services will be held May 10, 2024 at 0930 at Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
All friends and family are welcome to attend.
