J. Raymond Wheelington

Mr. Wheelington was born on July 3, 1930 in Texarkana, AR where he lived most of his life. He was retired from Walsh Lumpkin Drug Company where he worked for over 40 years in sales, sales management and key accounts. As a side passion he also called square dances for over fifty years in the Ark-La-Tex and most recently for Guys 'n Dolls in Texarkana, AR. He was a Korean War veteran and a baptist.

He was preceded in death by his brother Donald and his sister-in-law Nell Wheelington.

He is survived by his wife, Patti Wheelington of Texarkana, AR and a number of friends.

Services will be 10am Monday November 12, 2012 at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane Texarkana, TX. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under direction of East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 pm Sunday November 11, 2012 at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane.

Memorials may be made to the Texarkana Animal League or to the charity of your choice.
