George Manson

George Manson, 66, of Wake Village, TX passed away May 16, 2012 in a local hospital. Mr. Manson was born December 13, 1945 in Texarkana, TX. He was a member of Village Community Baptist Church; he retired from D & Z after 30 years of service and then retired again after many years of driving a truck.

He was preceded in death by a son, Todd Manson.

Survivors include his wife, Sydney Manson, of Wake Village, TX; daughters and son-in-law, Anna Manson of Texarkana , AR and Paul and Leah Mackey of Texarkana, TX; grandchildren, Nicholas Barber and Jacob Barber both of Texarkana, TX and Carly Manson and Cody Manson both of Rockwall, TX; sister and brother-in-law, George and Melissa Nash of El Cajon, CA; and brothers and sister-in-law, Jim and Judy Manson of Hooks, TX and Jules Manson of Hot Springs, AR.

Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2012 at East Memorial Chapel – Downtown with Rev. David Taylor officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home –Downtown.

The family will be at the family home in Wake Village, TX.
