George "Rooster" Crank, 89, of Fouke, AR passed away January 22, 2017 in a local hospital. Mr. Crank was born September 15, 1927 in Garland, AR. He completed Texarkana Junior College; was retired from Arkla Gas Company after 31 years of service; and was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran and served on USS Heywood as a radar operator. He was a member of Fouke Church of Christ for almost 70 years. He was known for his garden and freshly mowed yard. He loved to fish and eat crappie and loved to sing bass and talk about his family.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, M. Vivian Crank of Fouke. AR; daughter Karen Tate and husband, Ronnie of Sherwood, AR and granddaughter, Asha Robinson of Sherwood, AR; numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Jerry Monholland and Johnny Pistole officiating. Burial will be in Fouke Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to your charities of choice.
