Elsie Sybil Johnson

Elsie Sybil Johnson, 99, of Texarkana, AR passed away April 15, 2021 in a local retirement community. Mrs. Johnson was born September 23, 1921 in Dubberly, LA. She was a member of Fairview Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir; she was active in Scouting when her boys were young; was a volunteer at Wadley Regional Medical Center for many years; an avid bridge player and quilter.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Merilynn Johnson and Kirk and Deborah Johnson all of Texarkana; grandchildren Josh Johnson and Erin Taylor of Longbranch, WA, Amy and Chad Triptow and Matt Johnson all of Texarkana, Kelly and John Crowe of Little Rock, AR, Aimee and Tad Meredith and Cliff and Jessi Martin all of Texarkana; great grandchildren, Jacob Triptow, Danny and Michelle Meredith and Coy, Carter and Cade Martin all of Texarkana, Abby and Ava Crowe and Ivy and Courtney Crowe all of Little Rock.

Graveside service will be 12 noon, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Memorial Gardens with Randy Thomas officiating. Burial is under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
