Mrs. Wilcox was a very classy lady that will be missed by many. Prayers for Donnie as well as the rest of the family. I've always told Donnie how lucky he is to have the kind of mother God gave him. And he always agreed. I know you are devistated my loosing your beautiful mother. I'll gladly share  mine with you. 
One never gets over loosing their mother. Especially a mother like Mrs.  Wilcox.

Stretch and Donnie, I was saddened to hear of your loss but I'm glad Earlene is not in any pain and with the Lord. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Donnie, I was so very sad to learn that you had lost your sweet mother. Watching you and her interact with each other  was something very special, and very rare. It was very beautiful and I'm honored that I was able to experience it as a bystander. I can't  imagine how you are feeling since she passed. My prayer is that you can use your many precious memories you two had to hep you get through what's ahead for you this week. "Diamond Lil" was one the finest ladies I've ever known. I think that's where you get that attribute from. Please don't ever hesitate to call upon me if you need anything.

To the Wilcox family:
I was saddened to see today's obituaries in the Gazette and here's why:  approximately 40+years ago my sisters and I were motherless with a dad that wasn't prepared to raise teenager daughters. Because of that and money issues, we  never seemed to "fit in" at school because we didn't have any stylish clothing. Then Mrs. Wilcox stepped in and gave us three girls all of Jacqueline's beautiful clothes when she died. I remember walking down the halls at Westlawn school after that with my head held high for the first time. May not seem like a big deal, however, it was to us. I've thought of contacting Mrs. Wilcox a million times but regretfully I never did because I thought she probably wouldn't recall doing that and that she probably did things like that often. I cherish her kindness and generosity more than you can imagine.
