Donald H. Allen

Donald H. Allen, 80, of Texarkana, TX, went to be with the Lord Friday, January 12, 2018 at his home. Mr. Allen was born April 25, 1937 in Dallas, Texas. He was a Christian, enjoyed traveling, and along with his wife Linda, lived 7 years in Germany. Mr. Allen was well read and a U. S. military history buff. He served 3 years in the U. S. Army and retired from Ober-Ramstadt Army Depot, Department of the Army where he served as Chief of the Production Engineering Division.

Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents A. Dewey Allen and Allie M. Allen, his sister Alice McClaren, brothers A.D. Allen, J.P. Allen and Robert Allen, and step-daughter-in-law, Lisa Mabry.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife of 38 years Linda Martin Allen; his son Keith Allen and wife Sybil of Cedar Park, TX; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Larry Roberts of New Boston, TX and Becky and David Fant of Texarkana, TX; and step-son Russell Mabry of Texarkana, AR. Mr. Allen is survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 3 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at East Memorial Chapel - Moores Lane, Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
