Diane Marie Macey

Diane Marie Macey age 76 of Texarkana, TX passed away peacefully at a local nursing home on June 17, 2023. She was born on August 14, 1946 in Norfolk, VA eventually moving to Pensacola, FL due to her father’s military service in the U. S. Navy where she married and started a family. Her husband's promotion led them to Texarkana, TX in 1983. Diane was an Executive Secretary with the Youth Services Program of Southwest Arkansas Counseling and Mental Health Center (SWACMHC). She retired in 2017 after 32 years of service.

Diane was a member of St Edwards Catholic Church, a huge Neil Diamond fan and always found a reason to do some shopping at Dillard’s. She and her husband were long members of Northridge Country Club where you would frequently see them having dinner on Friday nights. Diane became an Arkansas Razorback fan soon after her beloved grandson graduated from college there.

Diane is preceded in death by her husband of almost 57 years Gerald “Ted” Macey.

Survivors include her two daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jeff Caldwell of Texarkana, AR and Janet Fuller and Alan Taylor of Flower Mound, TX; one grandson and wife, Joshua and Tracey Caldwell of Fayetteville, AR; one great granddaughter, Addison Lee Caldwell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Nancy Blazon of Cantonment, FL and David and Susan Blazon of West Columbia, SC.

Catholic service will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 10:00 AM at East Memorial Chapel-Moores Lane with Deacon Greg Casteel officiating. A visitation will be Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
