Curtis Ray Moore, Sr., 88, of Texarkana, TX passed away June 4, 2012. Mr. Moore was born July 16, 1923 in Coffee County, AL. He was a WWII Army Veteran; retired from McMillan Construction Company as a heavy equipment operator; member of Eylau Baptist Church; former member of the Bowie County Sheriff's Posse; and former member of Boots and Saddle Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Moore.
Survivors include his daughters, Barbara Taylor of Texarkana, TX, Judy Martin of Texarkana, and Patti Hicks of Lodi, TX; son, Curtis Moore, Jr., of Texarkana, TX; brother, Eddie Moore of Thibbodaux, LA; sisters, Lucille Holly of Glen Alan, MS and Bonnie Oliver of Jackson, MS; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, June 7, 2012 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Rev. Dwight Lowrie officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the funeral home.
