Clara Rhea Avery, 76, of Doddridge, AR. passed away in a local hospice facility. Mrs. Avery was born December 7, 1941 in Bradley, AR. She was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Loved working puzzles and reading books but most of all working with children at her church.
Preceded in death by her husband Conwell Avery; parents Travis and Eloise Thompson and a sister Glenda Liston.
Survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, James and Diane Avery of Fairfield Glade, TN., Michael Avery of Inkster, MI., Steven Avery of Doddridge, AR. and Patrick and Kathleen Avery of Garden City, MI; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Judy Thompson of Doddridge, AR., and James and Ann Thompson of Doddridge, AR.; two sisters and brothers-in-law Betty and Hershel Goynes of Doddridge, AR., and Janet and Dwayne Jackson of Bend, OR; plus many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
