Charlie Jackson Starks Jr.

Charlie Jackson Starks, Jr., 83, of Texarkana, AR passed away September 8, 2016 in a Plano, TX hospital. Charlie was born January 4, 1933 in Texarkana, AR. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Arkansas where he was an usher; member of North Heights Alumni Association; Cattlemen's Association; Farm Bureau Board; and a member of Miller Bowie Farmers Association for 43 years, serving as president for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Starks.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Vicky Starks of Texarkana; grandchildren, Johna and Jason Orr of Searcy, AR, Jamie and Josh Newberry of Springdale, AR, and Callie and Jack Cullen Starks of Texarkana.

Services will be 10 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, Arkansas with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2016 at East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Arkansas or Water Springs Ranch.
